Al-’Auja to Jericho

Nearby Jericho, members of the Aqbat Jaber Refugee Camp Women’s Center invite hikers for warm home-cooked meals and offer overnight stays a one of its kind mudbrick guesthouse. There hikers can also stamp their passports.

Al-‘Auja can be reached from Jericho with a shared taxi for 7 – 20 NIS.
Check the weather before you go. Always remember about sun protection (sunscreen, hat, sunglasses). During the summer season wear light but modest clothes. During the winter season remember about a warmer jacket – mornings and evenings are usually cold.
