The exquisite trail of Masar Ibrahim al-Khalil is a hiking trail which begins in the magical city of Jenin in the northern hills and mountains of Palestine.
The Masar is a path of history, shared culture, friendship, and hospitality. It is also a means of preserving, reviving, and developing community-based tourism in Palestine as a means of economic development.
The trail is 321 kms and was named the #1 Best New Trail for the year 2014 by National Geographic.
The trail continues from Jenin to the sacred city of Hebron in southern Palestine. it runs through the five governances or townships of Jenin, Nablus, Jericho, Bethlehem and Hebron.
Hikers travel through several villages in each township. For more information on individual villages and the routes through them, see the pulldown menu.
Guided tours are also available through the larger cities of Jericho, Bethlehem and Hebron.
